Will you help to stop classroom cruelty?
Dear Friend,
Did you know that every year, millions of animals—including cats, frogs, and pigs—are still dissected in science classrooms? Most of these animals suffer and die for a one-time demonstration. It’s cruel, wasteful, and unnecessary.
You have the power to do something amazing today. With your donation to AAVS, you can help to put an end to this outdated practice.
For 35 years, Animalearn, a program of AAVS, has been educating teachers and school administrators about the benefits of humane science education. The Animalearn website is an excellent place to learn about the use of animals in education and how you can take action on behalf of these animals.
Our one-of-a-kind loan program, The Science Bank, provides hundreds of hands-on resources at no cost to educators and students from kindergarten through college, veterinary, and medical school. These include lifelike animal models, AR/VR headsets, and more, which let students learn anatomy and physiology without harming animals.
We’re saving animals’ lives by reducing the demand for animals for dissection. Furthermore, by giving free alternatives to harming animals, we teach students that animals deserve our compassion and respect.
The Science Bank can only provide these alternatives because of generous support from important members like YOU!
Will you make a gift to AAVS today to join the movement to end cruelty in the classroom?
Sincerely,
Nicole Green
Director of Animalearn
