We know that many experiments on animals are done out of curiosity or on known factors that do not need to be repeated. AAVS educates and gives sound reasons why this research seldom if ever translates to human health. There are alternatives which AAVS recommends and NIH and certain universities must listen to this organization that’s shown amazing professionalism.

I love that AAVS has been a pioneer in cruelty free shopping and the Leaping Bunny program. They also have worked for decades to provide students with support and alternatives to vivisection in schools. Their publications are also excellent. Top notch group!

Animals used in research are never seen, heard or much less thought about, but their cries are heard by AAVS, and they strive to bring attention to the suffering that takes place at the expense of these animals’ lives.
