Animal Caretaker Heroes

AAVS is celebrating the important work of some very special people on Animal Sanctuary Caregiver Day! These unsung heroes are the caretakers who ensure that the animals in sanctuaries are safe, healthy, and happy. Physically demanding and sometimes even dangerous, their job can be difficult—working long hours, often in extreme weather, and with wild animals who have suffered past abuse.

We couldn't be more grateful to the sanctuary staff and volunteers who take on some pretty tough jobs to ensure that chimpanzees, monkeys, horses, and others get the love and attention that they need and deserve. THANK YOU for all you do!
